The Oban Inn, Oban

I was tipped off that this place had opened again and that it was once one of the better pubs in Oban. Inside it's a small old room with a stone floor, wooden benches, tables and stools. The small bar is in a corner to the right. There is another room upstairs that I didn't investigate. There are two hand pumps which had Fyne Jarl and something called Oban 1790. Sadly I ordered the latter not realising it was a dross rebadged house beer, probably from Caledonian as it was in one of their glasses. It was well kept but other than that had no merit whatsoever and wasn't worth anything like the £3.80 price tag. It's an interesting old building but I wouldn't return.
