Five's Cyderhouse, Falmouth

Five Degrees Wst is on what looks like a sea front but has no views of the harbour due to building being in the way. Once inside there is a square shaped room to the front with the bar on the mid left side,the floor is bare boarded,the seating is normal tables and chairs,the rear area is narrower and there is an open kitchen just past the bar on the left side,the rear area is up one step and has normal tables and chairs,this area is set aside for diners. There were four real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Black Rock Pale,which went down well,the other real ales were St Austell Tribute,Cotleigh Commando and Sharps Sea Fury. The front area was pretty quiet on our Sunday dinner visit,but the dining area to the rear soon filled up. When we visited later in the week it was standing room only. We both thought this was a decent pub to have a drink in. Pub visited 13/8/2017

This pub has made it into the 2014 Good Beer Guide and we decided to pop in on Monday. There are a number of steps to the front door, and some outside seating. Large room inside with the bar and kitchen area being side by side, then up a couple of steps to the dining area, and another large outside drinking area. I believe there is a cellar bar that opens at night which we didn't see. There were a number of local ales on, and they also have ciders. We chose Bays Devon Dumpling and Skinners Porthleven, both of which were fine. The walls are adorned with paintings for sale. There were adverts for live music.
