The Albert, Llandudno

Food-led pub with a fair few drinkers and a good selection of real ales and ciders. There is patio seating at the front of the pub, overlooking the street. Inside, there is an L-shaped dining and drinking area. Regular real ales are Conwy Clogwyn Gold & Timothy Taylor Landlord. Guest beers were Otter Hawthorn Pale & Tatton Black Affogato. Ciders were Lilley's Rhubarb Cider & Lemon & Lime Cider & Gwynt y Ddraig Black Dragon. The Affogato was very enjoyable indeed. A CAMRA discount is offered. On our first visit here, we were planning to eat, but seeing that there was a large group about to order, we decided against it. We did however return later in our visit and enjoyed a meal here. Items listed on the menu weren't all available, but what we had was tasty. We did witness other people sitting down to order a meal, but leaving after finding out that what they wanted wasn't available. One of Llandudno's better pubs and deservedly listed in the Good Beer Guide.

A semi traditional pub on one of Llandudno's main back roads. Still a bit of a Covid thing going on with doors marked exit only and entrance only which were being totally ignored by everyone. Quite a bit of the place is modernised, but there's a decent bar area along with lots of eating places. I also had a pint of Clogwyn Gold which was in very good nick, so this may be a permanent beer. Intended to call back here the following day, but got waylaid by Tapps just over the road.

Fairly modernised place off the seafront but has some traditional touches; dark wood fittings and cream walls. It’s mainly a food operation for the gentlefolk and their progeny however there were seven pumps with three ales on during my COVID visit (I tried Purple Moose Dark Side of the Moose NBSS 4 and Conwy Clogwyn Gold 4 - impressive) along with two ciders. We ate and it was good quality pub grub with friendly, efficient service. There’s some decent pubs in Llandudno but I think this is the best all-rounder.

This places proves that you can mix the dining trade with good beer. A fairly modern interior, mainly aimed at diners and visually not much to look at with a mixture of styles, set behind a terrace of tables at the front, but worth visiting for the ales. At time of visit these were Hogs' Back Surrey Nirvana, Sharps Sea Fury, Salopian Whirligig, Timothy Taylor's Golden Best and Purple Moose Glaslyn, along with two ciders, and seemed in excellent condition.

Good Beer Guide 2019. All the handpulls are on one side of the L shaped bar and guarded by bar hangers on stools. There is a chalk board above the bar but the font was of a size that rendered it unreadble with or without my glasses! Instead, a chat with a bar man and a decent Conwy Beachcomber was selected. Pub all geared up for dining, with an outside patio for watching the world go by.
