The Grapes, Falmouth

While walking through Falmouth yesterday I noticed a sign saying there was a beer festival here for the Sea Shanty weekend, so we went in to check it out. It was a busy pub with a choice of ales on the bar and casks set up on the bar with extra ales on. There was a good atmosphere from those in, a lot of them having lunch and there were enough cakes on one end of the bar that would do a cake shop proud. We chose Blue Anchor Spingo Middle as we like that one and it was good, also the well established Otter Ale. There are some good tables in a bay window at the back of the room with lovely views over the harbour. A large stage set up for Sea Shanty entertainment.
