The Grapes, Falmouth

One of a number of pubs on Falmouth's main street with a modernised interior and views over the harbour. The interior is decorated with blue panelling and white walls (apart from a small red-panelled area at the front) with rows of fairly plain tables in light wood. Available on handpump were Doom Bar, Tintagel Cornwall's Pride, Otter and a cider.

The Grapes is a decent looking pub that is on Falmouths main shopping street. If you enter from the side entrance the bar faces on entry,there is a decent sized single room which is part carpeted and bare boarded,the seating is normal tables and chairs. There were four real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Skinners Lushingtons,which went down very well,the other real ales were Skinners Cornish Knocker,Exmoor Ale and Doom Bar. Food is served. The rear windows give good views of the harbour. Our first visit here was on a Saturday night,they suddenly started to move people off tables that were in the middle area and taking lights down,this was for a disco,so we had to find another table,it never did get going while we were in there. We revisited the pub later in the week when it was a lot better. Pub visited 12/8/2017
