The New Inn, Newport

Proper local , more corridors than rooms , you enter through a corridor , to the right is a snug with a fireplace over which is a huge pair of antlers , another corridor takes you to the pool room and then the beer garden , to the left is the bar with plenty of dominoes tables and a healthy bustle around the dartboard , 3 ales on Speckled Hen , Bankss Bitter and a decent Enville Ale , this place is a throwback to the 70s , plenty of banter going on and unlike most Bankss pubs unspoilt by progress

slightly out of the way down the stafford road, but not a bad pint, very traditional local pub.
