The Stag, Newport

A medium-sized pub with a bright and modern (well, 1990s) interior, largely aimed at dining but good for a pint also. To the left of the central bar is a stone-floored area with a couple of TV screens, leading through to a carpetted lounge section. The other side is the restaurant area, including a large conservatory, with a garden outside. Draught ales were Doom Bar and Ringwood 49er and the latter was in good form, if a little overchilled.
