The Angel, Narberth

The Angel has fairly recently re-opened after a refurbishment. It is now the more upmarket pub in the town, serving a young-middle aged clientele with spirits, cocktails and gastropub-style food. There is clearly a market for this in town, as it was the busiest pub on our short crawl. As such, it was also the pub with the best atmosphere and therefore my favourite of the 5 we tried. Felinfoel Double Dragon is the regular ale. The guest beer was Gower Gold. I went for the Gold before also trying a bottle of the Pembrokeshire Cider Company William Marshal. The pub is much bigger than you initially imagine, with further seating well behind the bar and a garden beyond that.
