Black Lion Hotel, Cardigan

Situated towards the top end of the High Street, the Black Lion was much more welcoming than the Red Lion. It is quite a large space with a bar to the front left, a smaller lounge to the front right, and another reasonable sized room with a pool table to the rear. Off to the right of there is another small room with board games, which leads to a small outdoor yard where I would imagine the smokers gather. A staircase also leads off to a first floor restaurant. As pubs go, this one is quite large. Reputedly one of the oldest pubs in Wales. Cask ale appeared to be back, as a handpull was clipped with Purple Moose Glaslyn. I decided not to order it, but had no reason to believe that it wasn't on.
