Stone Roses Bar, York

Largely vertical drinking bar with various pastimes and games machines inc boxing machine and pool table. A few stools shelves and highish tables, there is also a mezzanine seating area. Looks like it's a major music venue although not live it appears. Expect little from the wide range of national keg brands. Album cover, band photos and scooter decor. Also shows live sport on big screen.

Needless to say lots of stone roses memorabilia on the walls as well as other music related pictures. Live music advertised.

This pub used to be called The Grapes and was a Stones house in the early 80s. It is fairly close to the river and it is now a Thwaites house but does not have any real ale on,this pub is mainly used by rockers and heavy metal types and is not the sort of place you would take your mam in.
