The Rising Sun, Nether Green, Sheffield

This pace was not what I expected it to be as it's in Sheffield suburbia and is quite a large suburban former Ember Inn. It looks like it's been extended and is open plan split into areas. There was a Motown soundtrack playing but overall it was fairly quiet, possibly due to a beer festival going on in a marquee in the large garden. I counted thirteen hand pumps roughly half of which were taken up with Abbeydale beers then a cider and the rest guests. I tried Abbeydale Absolution (£3.60) & Moonshine (£3.30), Scruffy Dog Sit! Ra & Hoppity Dawg (£3.60) and Welbeck Abbey Duck Decoy (£3.50). I thought this was a decent enough place but a bit suburban. It's GBG 2020 listed and I'd certainly return.
