The Wrens, Leeds

Prominently located on a street corner in the student/nightlife area, this is an old pub which has been tarted up rather too much inside, mainly with lounge-type seating and nasty decor. There is one nice room to the side which has not been too messed about with and retains a good feel though. It does at least have some cask ales on, in contrast to most of its neighbours, and to my surprise in a respectable condition despite it being a quiet lunchtime. On the pumps were Brass Castle Best and Morph, and Ossett Yorkshire Blonde.
