Update October 2025: I was worried after hearing stories that the pub was being left to decay, it is obviously in need of some TLC and sympathetic tenants, they did try to be trendy - the beer mats were in a central pile on each table. No horrible changes made that I could see just some careless neglect and a lack of appreciation of its historic importance, an etched glass window may have been lost between the corridor and front bar - it was covered by a large England flag. The counter and other rooms look ok-ish, even if some are used as a dumping ground for “stuff”. The beer choice is pitiful but as expected for the area, cheap lager and cider, the six pulls are neglected, one had a reversed clip though. Piped music is thought necessary and it’s cash only.
