A reminder that you cannot always trust the Good Beer Guide to show you the best places in town. Nothing wrong with their recommendations, but there is an argument to say this is the best in town. Ancient look half timbered place, split in half. Enter the front door with care or you will find yourself behind the bar, as you navigate the narrow passage. Right hand side is a comfier lounge, with a bar to the right. The reason for the high recommendation is the beer quality and a land lady that knew her stuff. Four real ales on and a cider and she took time to explain them all. Teme Valley That, HPA and a green hopped special that I failed to record. The Teme Valley was fresh on and perfect. Enjoyable visit and worth seeking out for the unique name alone.
