This is a small Hop Back tied house situated on the Southern edge of Devizes. The first thing you notice is that there is a full sized skittle alley at the rear. Inside it's an L shaped room with three areas. The bar is in the middle and to the left is a room with a dart board. On the right of the bar is an area with low tables and chairs. It was quiet on my Saturday afternoon but some folk were drinking outside in the courtyard (before the thunderstorm arrived). The bar has just three hand pumps which had Hop Back Golden Best & Yakima Gold and Great Western Maiden Voyage. I went for the Maiden Voyage which was in very good condition. This is a pleasant enough pub but it's a shame it can't sustain more than three ales.
