Red Lion, Ossett

The Red Lion is a good 10 minute walk from the middle of Ossett. This is a decent looking stone built pub that is situated on the busy Dewsbury road. Once inside there is a U shaped room which has a low beamed ceiling and very comfy bench seating around the edge of the room and small stools,the room is carpeted and looked quite cosy,there is a separate narrow dining room to the rear. There were quite a few pumps on the bar with a few having their clips their clips turned round,this left two real ales to choose from,i had a drink of Two Roses Mosaic which was quite a nice drink,the other beer was Bobs Brewery White Lion. This is quite a nice and comfortable pub just a shame i was the only customer in on my Saturday dinner visit. Pub visited 24/1/2015
