The White Lion Hotel, Hebden Bridge

This lovely old building, slightly further up the hill from the town centre, has been done up inside with a slightly upmarket feel. The sort of place that you wouldn't mind taking your grandmother to, with smart tables and chairs and the sort of subdued atmosphere that you know someone is just itching to destroy by playing some loud and inane pop music through the sound system, and sure enough they did. On the bar are five hand pumps, one the house bitter mentioned by ROB Camra below, the others Black Sheep Best, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Copper Dragon Best and Thwaites Wainwright. My Black Sheep was ok, though a little pricey I thought at £3.50 a pint. I'll return here when I hear that they've ripped out the loudspeakers.
