The Jubilee, Halifax

After an excellent real ale crawl around town and a fine curry there was just enough time for a lastie but I soon wished we hadn't bothered.From the outside it looks a fine ,grand building but the interior is devoid of character and even more devoid of customers.There is a front pool room,the tap room has seating booths around it and is very gloomy.The flatscreens flickered away but were thankfully mute.A door led to an outside area but may have been locked.I was never going to engage with the discounted cocktail menu. Naturally no real ale,I had a swift half of Kronenbourg 1666 and left feeling it could be so much better if only someone cared.
