The George, Dewsbury

The George is a stone built pub that is about a 5 minute walk down a very steep hill from the Butchers Arms. Once inside the main room is L shaped and is divided into two areas,there is comfy bench seating and small stools in the bar area,there is a pool table to the rear left,the room is carpeted,the TV was showing horse racing. No real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Worthington keg crap,which was a pretty crap drink,the other keg bitters were John Smiths Smooth Crap and Tetley smooth crap. This is a decent enough pub,just a shame there was not one real ale on the bar. Pub visited 2/1/2015

Nice clean pub Great landlady but the barmaid gives you huge heads on yer beer lol. Sandwiches available with an array of filling's (Chicken,Stuffing, Apple sause ? What's all that about pmsl )
