Another Marstons Good Beer Guide Tick. I tried a first Sunbeam in here, and this was in great condition. Lively locals pub on a Saturday Lunch. I think a local football team were in post training recovery.

Community local, opened out to give a staple-shaped layout, with an acoustic trio playing in the left-hand side lounge when I visited. This, and its larger equivalent in an extension at the other end of the bar, have both been refurbished in a semi-traditional style. A partly covered patio beer garden with a marquee behind can also be found to the right. With three of the five handpumps in use, I found three Banks's beers: Amber, Mild (£3.00) and Sunbeam.

Marstons family friendly community pub going south of the city. Bank of three and a bank of four pulls with Marstons stable beers plus the usual range of kegs. Light bright and comfortable it’s GBG2019 listed
