Traditional-looking pub with two rooms: the main bar and a side area where the pool table can be found. The old-school feel was enhanced by a couple of older gents playing an intense but good-natured game of dominoes. Unfortunately, the pair of handpumps haven't been used since the first lockdown (although the landlord hopes to get them back in use when trade picks up enough), so I consoled myself with the keg Theakston's Mild at just £2.40.

Fantastic old building, a style of pub very rare in Wolverhampton, lots of character, beams, benches and the bar. Suffers for its location in the fag end of town and a bit of neglect, but one of those buildings that has to be kept and in the right hands of somebody with a bit of vision could be a great old drinking den. One room with a pool table at one end. No real ale
