The Railway Inn, Walsall

Now sadly closed and derelict.

Despite being a cultural town, this is yet another uninspired 60s looking building, that has replaced an older pub of the same name on the same site. The exterior is cream rendered, with an arcaded extension at the front and beer garden. There are two rooms, a function room, which i didn't really see and the bar. The bar (like what i could see of the function room) had cream decor, with wood panel. The bar had darts, Sky TV, railway and cartoon pictures and music supplied by Heart FM. The service was functional, possibly because its a locals place. Sporting trophies decorated the bar. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks's MILD and Bitter on handpull. The MILD was ok. All in all, a non-descript place, but i have been in worse
