The Railway Inn, Walsall

Plain 1960s pub with a narrow single-storey extension along the facade. Retains two separate rooms: the bar with a pool table at the front and presumably a lounge further back (with the lights on but not obviously in use). With no cask ale, I thought the Wolfpack Lager might be an option until I found that to be discontinued. Made do with a Carling (£3.90) before heading onwards.

The Railway is to the south of Bloxwich and it looks like an estate pub but it is on a busy main road. This is a Banks's tied house and i went in a room at the front of the pub,there were two real ales on here i had a drink of banks's bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's mild. This pub was comfortable enough and the last pub on my Bloxwich crawl. Pub visited 9/12/2000
