ReviewAs Staaly says, the place has been reinvented and revamped since my last visit. The frontage and the shape of the main bar room have not changed but the decor has. It is in light grey, dark grey with yellow stripey wallpaper on a couple of walls, along with a wood floor. There are sofas, easy chairs and yellow stools and chairs, as well as pouffes. There were a couple of TVs, showing Magic TV until a band turned up to play live music. The service, as Staaly says, was very good and the only real ale - Holden's Golden Glow was well kept. again, i think i got in at the right time for an 'oldie', but worth it for the Glow.

ReviewThis pub used to be Traylor's, but has undergone a refurb and name change.
Open plan, one roomed bar, sparsely furnished with comfy sofas and chairs. The room seems quite small. It is decorated in pale yellows (unsurprisingly) and is very modern. However, the moulded plaster, pillars and bar, although painted over, show the Victorian boozer at its heart. There was a band setting up on the Friday I went in and it filled up as I prepared to leave.
Beerwise, it has the usual suspects and one real ale. When I visited, the ale was Holden's Golden Glow, but the barmaid said the beer changes regularly. The Golden Glow was so tasty, we stayed for a second pint.
The service was very friendly, the barmaid was very chatty and knew her customer base and their tastes.
I have scored this pub highly because I was impressed with the service and quality of the ale. I would definitely pop back in here again.

Reviewa terraced town centre pub/club in undressed brick and with black facade
The interior has two rooms, a function room, that i have never seen and a main bar room. This room is in white, a subtle pink (i think!) with some brown and a wood floor. There is a small DJ/karaoke cut away area. There is a TV, which had Sky Sports News on and the music came courtesy of Heart FM, but was at a decent level. There were a few posters on the walls, but it looked a bit bare and a bit tired, although here and there were touches of the heritage of the place; the exterior, the part molded ceiling, the wood bar and sadly, now painted wood decoration. The service was fine, the clientele just a couple of people. This place is a pub/club; it opens until midnight Sun-Mon and until 3am on Thu-Sat, but only 7pm on Tue-Wed.
Beer; tap stuff, with a few handpulls - only one was on on this visit, but it was a decent enough Timothy Taylor Landlord.
One for the more younger lot on the evenings, i am sure. My TTL was decent enough, so happy enough to visit for one on Sunday lunch

ReviewRather awful pub. Very busy pub as it is in right middle of busy shopping centre. I always find at least one drunk man/woman shouting every time I comes in. However haven't been in here for years. Ales are undrinkable and expensive foods. You can forget visit it on Fri and Sat nights otherwise you will get chatted up by drunks!
