Old Bush Revived, Rowley Regis

A detached cottage styled Banks's pub, in white painted brick. Apparently just re-opened after a large refurbishment and being closed for 3 years. The interior is technically open plan, but in effect has two smaller rooms that form an L-shape around the serving bar. The decor is red and white textured wallpaper. There is a dart board in the back area, which seemed to be set out for dining and what looked like a private function when we visited. They do food, but we didn't eat so can't comment on that. There is a bit of ephemera on the walls, including some old newspapers. The TV wasn't on and there was no backbround music. The service was fine and the place was busy with a mixed clientele. Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD and bitter on electronic cask pump and Hobgoblin on handpull. The MILD was fine. A perfectly fine place that looks tidy and does real ale. Worth popping into.
