O'Neill's, Birmingham

A large corner brick pub with a little attempt with ashlar corner stones to a least give some individuality. The large open plan pubco type of interior is of course all too familiar. The decor of red and olive green, but this rather soulless foody place did have a moulded ceiling. The music was mixed, there was a TV with the rugby on and there was pool. Service was basic, the clientele were cought between the cheap beer and fagging it in the doorway. Beer; tap stuff with a passable M&B MILD, with an untried Pedigree and the ditchwater that is John Smiths Cask on handpull, which was being flogged cheap, so i avoided. A nothing place, far better in Harborne

This pub is closing down in a couple months due to be made into a flats.
