The Green Man Another great village pub, proper bar rooms with a lounge and games room and the old style pub furniture. Decorated with local and pub memorabilia. On walking in there was only two people at the bar, we soon realised why, a noisy party in progress. However as the time ticked by more locals came, so it was us just being too early! The bar staff were very friendly and informative, and were happy to give us tasters of the 4 ales, London Pride, Tetleys Bitter, Black Sheep Bitter and a lovely Woodforde Nog. They don’t do food, which is a shame as I suspect they would do old fashioned pub food. This pub is the furthest from the canal a good half an hour walk but worth it if you like a proper pub. If you find the local co-op in the village it’s just a 2 minute walk from there. Saturday 18th September 2010
