I will not describe the physical features of the pub, Soup Dragon has done so more than adequately below. The three real ales I tried, two by Quartz and one I cannot remember the name of were superb. The Henry Tudor was delicious. It is always exciting to walk into a pub and see beers that you've never had before. And a bonus when all three are delicious. The food was also exceptional. Four of us ate and we were all impressed. The views across the valley to Stoke Golding are beautiful. The staff were brilliant, attentive and courteous. The landlord was an ever present and benign presence in the pub. In short, I loved this place - a great mix of diners and locals in for a pint. A brilliant, comfortable, welcoming pub. I never give 10/10, but this place deserves it.
