The Woodland Tavern, Leamington Spa

An end terraced corner pub, in white render and green paintwork. It looks tidy and the photograph doesn't do it justice The interior is open plan around the central bar. The decor was a beige and white and there were the usual photographs and ephemera for a traditional, locals pub, which was friendly and had a nice dog that slept contentedly under the dart board - mainly as nobody was playing, i am sure. The service was fine and the music was mixed, though more rock based, which was good, and at a decent level. The clientele were locals and a mature mix. Beer; tap stuff with a couple of handpulls - an untried Slaughterhouse bitter and a fair Wychwood Hobgoblin. I liked this pub. Although the beer wasn't stunning on my visit, i would give it every chance and return
