The Clock, Atherstone

The Clock is a fairly large looking pub that is situated at the top end of long street. Once inside there is a decent sized lounge to the left,this room is carpeted and had a long bench seat running down the left side,there was a proper poker table to the front,there were normal tables and chairs elsewhere,there is a small narrow bar to the right which had basic bench seating running down the right side. There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which lived up to its name. The pub was empty with me being the only customer on a latish Saturday afternoon visit,it is also up for let so things dont look that rosy here. Overall i thought this was a pretty poor pub. Pub visited 25/10/2014
