The Wheatsheaf, Atherstone

The Wheatsheaf is a decent looking white painted pub that looks like it has had a new paint job recently. Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which runs to the rear,the serving bar is to the mid right,there is comfy bench seating to the front,with a raised area to the rear,there is a pool table in this area,the other seating is one american diner table and a couple of normal tables and chairs. There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a decent drink,the other beers were GK Abbot and a micro beer which was too strong for my liking. Decent background music was playing. I quite liked this pub. Pub visited 25/10/2014

This pub has indeed reopened, but not until 21/09/2014.

This pub is currently closed, however, locals led me to believe it had been taken over and will re-open soon
