The Red Barn Inn, Lingfield

Upmarket country dining pub, as you would expect in these parts, with plenty of space both inside and out. The bar and several general seating / dining areas are located in the main (ex-farmhouse?) building, with The Orangery room behind and a large covered outdoor area at the back to supplement the various patio and garden areas at the front, side and rear. The former agricultural building, housing the main restaurant is confusingly glad in black weatherboard (but looks a picture within), branches off at 90° back towards the road. As a seemingly unbranded Youngs establishment, it was no surprise to find its Original on one of the four handpumps, so I went for a Harvey's (£6.00) because I arrived slightly too early to catch the local Shere Drop from Surrey Hills coming next as the third cask ale after the line cleaning had finished.
