A spit and sawdust pub in Wood Street Guildford due to the tired looking décor. Gents toilets are outside.A number of real ales but we thought the food was the highlight.A very British menu. The food was nicely cooked with a choice of vegetables. Good portions and prices were cheaper than average for the area. we will certainly eat in here again.

Superb single-bar village local, a true free house and frequent winner of local CAMRA awards since 1996. Drinkers are attracted from far and wide with six real ales always on offer, four of which are ever changing guest ales and always include a mild; in addition a real cider is normally available. Popular for home-cooked lunches, Mon-Sat only. The large attractive garden has swings and a play windmill for children. Dog friendly.
