The Prince of Wales, West End, Esher

Everything about The Prince Of Wales in Esher was top rate.A nice pub/restaurant very clean and with a lot of character The food was excellent don't forget to look at the chalk board. which has additional dishes to those on the printed menu. there was special offer on prices for certain meals when we visited which added to the attraction. The staff were on the ball, and they treated customers as individual rather than just part of the mass market client. A car park at the rear and free off street parking. At peak times booking is advisable.

Located out of the busy town centre, this former Chef & Brewer outlet has recently been redecorated, the dark and fairly gloomy look making way for a lighter, airier look. The food was fresh and tasty, prices about the going rate for the area. Ales were Pride, Sharps' Doom Bar, Hogs Back TEA and Englands Glory. Busy but not crowded on a weekday lunchtime, but would probably be full on a sunny weekend.

We are from Australia, and spent one month in the area with friends recently. Found the staff, locals, atomsphere very welcoming and the beer and the food are GREAT!!. Definately return when we next visit London. Great place to realx after a full day of sightseeing.

Rambling pub on edge of pretty village green. Mainly given over to food - ok for eating at but not really for serious drinking. Update March 2010 - food has gone upmarket.
