The Faraday, Epsom

Modern looking Smith & Jones chain pub,with quite a large open plan interior and the L shaped bar running along the left hand wall.On the otherside there is a long row of leather bound seating booths with more dining type tables towards the rear ,where there is a decent sized paved beer garden. The corridor to the loos contains the access to the Gallery Floor which would be a feature had it been open on my trip.It can be hired for a private party.At the bar there are two banks of three handpumps with the choice on my trip GK IPA,Courage Best,Hobgoblin and a decent Sharp's Doom Bar (£3.40).Meal deals are advertised,and cheap pub grub may well be a draw in here. Despite being clean and tidy,the drone of the inane muzak set the tone,I had thirty minutes to kill and this place just about met the bill.

Quite a large Smith & Jones pub, partly opened out to form various different seating areas. Also has an upstairs 'Balcony Bar' above the main space inside the entrance, plus front and rear patios. The furniture and decor is fairly anonymous, with the menus and food promotions being the the obvious features. Three of six handpumps in operation, offering Morland Original, Tolly English Ale and Bombardier (£3.20).
