The Three Tuns, Tamworth

The Three Tuns is a bare brick built pub that has some blocks of flats behind it. Once inside i went into the room to the right which was a smart looking oblong shaped lounge,the room is carpeted and has comfy bench seating around the edge of the room the ceiling was beamed which was no doubt false ,there is a separate bar room to the left. There was one real ale on the bar which was Pedigree,this was a decent drink. I thought this was a very pleasant and comfortable pub,just a shame it was almost empty on my early Saturday night visit. One of roughest pub in Tamworth, frequented by hardened drinkers and young chavs. Right opposite Main bus station. Free pool games every wed. Happy hours available. Huge barn next to pub for smokers. Decors inside are very plain. No real ale served

On main road to Town centre. This very popular pub with locals especially OAPS. Two separate rooms.. One with bar room and other is dining room. Very friendly staff. Serves two real ales (Ruddle's County and Old Speckled Hen always serve) They also serve luchtime foods which is very good quality. Only downside is tiny car park behind pub. UPDATE: Currently closed and now under refurb.

Large, free standing, 1930s, unrendered brick exterior. The inside is almost vulgar with its fake beam look. There were two large rooms, i think - the lounge, were i was, was clean and the service functional. The clientele was mixed. There is the usual stuff, with Highgate MILD, which was decent enough. The three handpulls had Bass, Ruddles Country and Adnams Broadside. A staple kind of place really. I am sure i will drift in again at some point
