The Pheasant Inn, Stone

A good local boozer. Traditional locals local and a friendly welcome of an afternoon. Real ales available. Two room layout as described elsewhere. A pub as pubs should be.

The Pheasant Inn is a small bare brick built corner pub that is situated on the northern edge of Stone. Once inside there was a small oblong shaped bar to the front,the floor was tiled and there was leather bench seating to the left,the darts board was to the right,there was a TV showing the end of the Man Utd v Newcastle Utd game. There is a seperate lounge to the rear which is split into two areas by a wall,the area near the road had leather bench seating the rear of the room had normal tables and chairs. There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Banks's Mild which was a very nice well kept beer,the other beers were Pedigree and Wye Valley HPA. The pub was fairly busy on my Saturday afternoon visit. I quite liked this pub,it is a shame that it is up for let at the moment. Pub visited 7/12/2013
