Cattle Market, Leek

A reasonable Marston's pub. A two roomed affair with the room to the right housing a pool table. The lounge to the left is small and pleasant enough. 5 handpumps on the bar but sadly a rather pedestrian Marston's selection today with Pedigree, Saddle Tank, Hobgob and 61 Deep on.

The Cattle Market is now in new hands and has been since September 2013, although it is still a Marstons pub. There are now 5 real ales, 3 ciders, 3 lagers and Guiness on draught. The cellar has been completely refurbished and the interior has had a thorough cleaning and some redecorating. The "younger crowd" and "rough" element has now been discouraged and it is a great friendly locals local. There is entertainment every Friday night to suit and ever one recieves a warm welcome. most tastes

The Cattle Market is on the edge of the town centre and it is a Marstons tied house. Once inside here the pub was fairly basic and seemed to be quite a rough pub to have a drink in. There were a couple of real ales on the bar i had a drink of Pedigree which was decent enough the other beer was Marstons bitter. I did'nt like this pub that much.
