The Blue Mugge, Leek

The Blue Mugge is a decent back street pub that is not too far from the town centre. Once inside this pub there was a island bar with drinking areas around it i only had a quick visit here because the pub closes around 4.00 and i was the only customer in here. There were two real ales on the bar that i could see and i had a very nice drink of Bass the other beer was Pedigree. I thought this was a decent basic pub that i would happily visit again.

The Blue Mugge is on a Victorian housing-cum-industrial estate on the fringes of Leek. On my first visit here I circled the area several times on my bike before finding the pub, because it just doesn’t look like a pub at all (see picture). It’s just a street corner house, with a Tardis-like central bar and innumerable pictures of Queen Victoria. Beer range can be limited - only Bass when I was here last (July 2010) but it's an interesting and comfortable pub with a friendly atmosphere.
