Newhall Farm, Cannock

Marston's pub / restaurant in an old (but extended) farmhouse, so a bit different to their more recent new-build outlets with a similar offering. However, there is no real interest left in the open out and corporately refurbished interior, but it was still busy on a Thursday evening despite the road resurfacing outside that would doubtless have discouraged some customers. Just Pedigree (£4.65) from the bank of three handpumps, but at least that was in good shape.

This is a nice farmhouse style pub near Heath Hayes. Tastefully done inside, but has now been changed around a little slightly spoiling the effect - the bar has been knocked through to the longe and the emphasis is firmly on getting in people from the nearby new housing for food. But its an ok comfortable put, a few different areas of seating, some raised, though a number of reserved areas when I was there. A nice pint of Banks bitter.
