Cross Keys Hotel, Cannock

As expected, this pub, only 10 minutes walk from Keys Park, was pretty busy on a match day. It took me almost 10 minutes to be served too, but it was worth the wait as the Bass was very good indeed (NBSS 4) and only £3.80/pint. All of the eight cask beers on were fairly mainstream, and seemingly split between the front room on the right and the other bar counter in the back on the left. It might be interesting to come back on a non-football day to get a better impression of the pub and try a couple of different beers, but if it hadn't been for Gainsborough Trinity being drawn to play Hednesford Town in the FA Cup, we wouldn't have made the journey to be here. So it's not likely that I'll be back any time soon.
