Cracking little gem with lots of guest ales served straight from the barrel. Also serves a selection of ciders and perries. Two old fashioned parlours lead to a cosy little bar. If you sit in the bar, you will most certainly end up having a good old chin-wag with the people sitting around you. A great atmosphere that is very rare in pubs nowadays. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant little old-style pub. Get the Bass straight out of the barrel. Great pint and it is really too small for the 'Big Boys' to want it and do anything with it. If you didn't know it was there, you'd miss it. Sits opposite the old Bass brewery (now Coors- what kind of a name is that for a beer?)and down from the Devonshire Arms. If you want a restaurant or disco bar, forget it. Serves food but is a traditional English pub. (Now a rarity)
