Wortley House Hotel, Scunthorpe

Wortley House Hotel is a 41 room hotel, the sort of place that would have a grand piano in the foyer. The L-shaped bar area is found to the left of the foyer where an L-shaped bar counter faces banquette seating along the front windows and up the left-hand wall. Standard and premium keg were available and the lone hand pump stood unused. The service was painfully slow due to barkeeping being only one of the barman’s many chores. Handy for those staying in the hotel or attending a meeting in one of the many conference rooms, but I doubt that many would walk in off the street for a pint.
