The Railway, Telford

This pub had a quite spacious interior, which was a bit of a surprise. The décor was in need of a make over as it was fairly drab and wouldn't inspire you to stay for long, I have to say the pub is very handy for a quick half whilst waiting for the bus. The landlord and a couple of locals were friendly and chatty and the Wye Valley Butty Bach was decent.

An old school boozer with a basic interior,to one side a raised darts throw,with another board in a back section and a mix of old wooden furniture and some flatscreens ,off during my visit.A few regulars were dotted about on bar stools,there was a friendly welcome from behind the bar,where 4 handpumps are situated ,only two in use offering Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach (decent). Worth popping into on a crawl ,over the road for the bus to Oakengates and it's Golden Triangle.
