The Bacchus, Telford

The old Bacchus was a decent size pub over 2 floors , over the years it gradually ran down untill finally closing a few years ago . A couple of years ago it was redeveloped in two halves , a barbers on one side and a cafe bar on the other , now the cafe bar has closed and been converted back to a pub . It is long and narrow opening out towards the rear with a further room to the back , the bar is along the left as you enter , it is advertised as a Freehouse but has no Handpulls , lots of pulls for fizz and lots of bottled beer , i had half of Stowford(£1.60) served by the friendly barman , i was the only customer at 7.30 on a Friday night .

A bit of a change here , the old pub has been split into two , one half is a barbers the other a very trendy Cafe Bar , it has a good reputation for food but drinkers are welcome , no real ale but a selection of keg lagers , regular live music and the dreaded kareoke .

A bit untidy inside but it was friendly enough.
