The Bench & Bar, Stoke-On-Trent

The Bench and Bar is a small corner pub that is in a residential area,the pub is also quite close to an impressive looking brick built church. Once inside there was a square shaped room with the bar facing,the room was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating and small stools,there was a smaller area down a couple of steps to the rear of this room. There was a large TV showing the Fulham v Stoke game with Norweigen commentry. The pub is a Thwaites tied house and there are no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Thwaites smooth which was a very poor drink. This is a locals pub and it was fairly busy with a mixed bunch on my Saturday afternoon visit. Pub visited 23/2/2013
