Jaspers Arms, Shifnal

Formerly known as the Union , it was heaving on my visit so could not get much of a look around , only two of the four handpulls on with GK IPA and Holdens Mild which i took outside to drink as it was so busy inside . Easilly the busiest pub on my visit to Shifnal but not sure i would visit again

This is restaurant with a separate bar that feels like a proper pub. It’s quite small and has a dartboard at one end along with a video machine with golf etc on it. Has two handpumps on the pub side selling Banks’s Bitter and a Roosters beer. I asked for a pint of the Roosters and the barmaid walked round to the restaurant side of the bar, she came back with a pint and I said “I asked for Roosters” and she assured me it was. It was definitely a keg beer. I don’t know what was going on here, whether it was a mistake or not, but the bottom line is that I was served a keg beer when the pumpclip was on a handpump. Not happy.
