The Kings Head Hotel, Bridgnorth

The Kings Head is a nice looking pub that is situated on a side street just off the main shopping street. Once inside there is an irregular shaped which has a stone floor,the seating is bench seating and normal tables and chairs,the rear area of the room is down one step. There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Hobsons Twisted Spire,which went down very well,the other real ales were Hobsons Best,Hobsons Town Crier and Wye Valley HPA. We thought this was a very pleasant pub to have a drink in and much better than the Stables Bar which is behind it. Pub visited 29/4/2017

Wow - C16th Coaching House. #1 for food in Bridgnorth (according to Tripadvisor), in the Good Beer Guide 2017. Had to be checked out. Lived up to all expectations. Great staff. Prompt Service. Excellent Food and the best Hobsons Town Crier I have had. The Stable Bar in the back courtyard is worth checking out - although its nothing to do with the pub. This 16th Century coaching house is worth a visit and as Aqualung mentions, it does look like something from a film set. The pub has two main areas, basically a front and rear room, separated by a short stone wall with an opening for a fire grate. The rear room housed a small bar, with five handpumps, which were offering two from Hobson's, Wye Valley HPA, Ma Pardoes and Three Tuns Stout. I am not an avid fan of dark beers, but knowing the quality of Three Tuns, I went for a half of their stout, which was very good.
