Semi-rural gem with a GII listed interior. The front garden has a small stream plus horse troughs filled with flowers and is catered for by a serving hatch. Inside is a small room painted in GWR colours dominated by a large encompassing wood-settle snug. A further room with bare brick walls is beyond. No bar in the main room, just a serving hatch. Aunt Sally spotted. Three ales on gravity; Sharps Atlantic (ok), Ferrymans (flat) and Morlands Original. Shame the beer wasn’t better really as this timewarp pub is a must-visit.
