ReviewThe Sir John Borlase Warren used to be a Shipstones tied house and it is in the middle of canning circus.
This pub is now an Everards tied house but also stocks beers from other brewerys, when you go into this pub the bar is left and the area around the bar only has a few seats so this is mainly for stand up drinking, most of the flooring in the pub is bare wood floors.
Once you walk away from the bar there is a small room to the right which has been opened out into the main pub this small room looks quite cosy,if you carry on past this room there are a few steps down to another room this is a larger room with table and chairs people tend to dine here but drinkers are just as welcome here.
There are about 7 real ales on the bar i had a drink of Bath Ales Jem which was very nice the other beers were Everards Tiger bitter, Beacon and Sunchaser there was also Greene King IPA and a beer called Gold Course brew there are also a couple of real ciders.
I think this is a decent pub to have a few drinks in but it does get very busy weekend evenings with students.
